Background

There is, however, more to the story. In July of 1864 the people of Chambersburg stood in the face of the invading Confederate Army. The leader of the Confederate forces demanded that if they wanted to save their community from being burned they would have to pay a ransomthey refused. The people of Chambersburg chose to let their homes burn instead of bowing to the invading forces. They sacrificed all that they had in defiance of the enemy.
Chambersburg, not unlike Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, was defined through the flames. If there was ever a place to start a coffee company that refuses to bow down to the powers that be, Chambersburg would be the place. It also doesnt hurt that it is a community full of coffee lovers.
